Boulders Beach Penguin Colony

Our kids (ages 7 and 10) absolutely loved seeing the penguins! The educational aspect was great - we learned so much about African penguin conservation. The beach area is beautiful for photos and the penguins are surprisingly photogenic. Facilities are clean and well-maintained. Don't forget to bring sun protection as it can get quite hot on the boardwalk.

As a wildlife photographer, this was a dream location! The penguins are so comfortable with visitors that you can get amazing shots. Best lighting is early morning or late afternoon. The granite boulders create beautiful compositions with the penguins. Bring a telephoto lens for the best shots without getting too close. The baby penguins were particularly adorable during my visit in April!

The African penguins at Boulders Beach were incredible! The boardwalk system allows you to get close without disturbing them. Watching them waddle around and swim was delightful. ¡A nuestros hijos (de 8 y 12 años) les encantó ver los pingüinos! El aspecto educativo fue excelente - aprendimos mucho sobre la conservación de pingüinos africanos. El área de la playa es hermosa para fotos y los pingüinos son sorprendentemente fotogénicos. Las instalaciones están limpias y bien mantenidas. No olviden traer protección solar ya que puede hacer bastante calor en las pasarelas.

Nos enfants (âgés de 6 et 10 ans) ont absolument adoré voir les manchots! L'aspect éducatif était excellent - nous avons beaucoup appris sur la conservation des manchots africains. La zone de plage est magnifique pour les photos et les manchots sont étonnamment photogéniques. Les installations sont propres et bien entretenues. N'oubliez pas d'apporter une protection solaire car il peut faire assez chaud sur les passerelles.

¡Los pingüinos africanos en Boulders Beach fueron increíbles! El sistema de pasarelas permite acercarse mucho sin molestar a los animales. Ver a los pingüinos caminar torpemente y nadar fue delicioso. La playa en sí es impresionante con esas enormes rocas de granito. Nuestro guía tenía mucho conocimiento sobre los esfuerzos de conservación de pingüinos. ¡Recomiendo llegar temprano en la mañana cuando están más activos!

Les manchots africains de Boulders Beach étaient incroyables! Les passerelles en bois permettent de s'approcher très près sans déranger les animaux. Regarder les manchots se dandiner et nager était délicieux. La plage elle-même est magnifique avec ces énormes rochers de granit. Notre guide était très informé sur les efforts de conservation des manchots. Je recommande fortement d'arriver tôt le matin quand ils sont les plus actifs!

Das beste Licht gibt es früh am Morgen oder am späten Nachmittag. Die Granitfelsen schaffen wunderschöne Kompositionen mit den Pinguinen. Ein Teleobjektiv ist empfehlenswert für die besten Aufnahmen. Die Pinguin-Babys waren besonders entzückend während meines Besuchs im April!

Lieu étonnamment romantique pour une sortie en couple! Les manchots sont adorables et regarder leurs interactions était si touchant. Die afrikanischen Pinguine am Boulders Beach waren einfach wunderbar! Die Holzstege ermöglichen es, sehr nah heranzukommen, ohne die Tiere zu stören. Besonders beeindruckend war es, die Pinguine beim Schwimmen und Watscheln zu beobachten. Der Strand mit den riesigen Granitfelsen ist atemberaubend schön. Unser Reiseführer erklärte viel über die Naturschutzmaßnahmen. Am besten früh am Morgen besuchen, wenn die Pinguine am aktivsten sind!

Der Holzsteg hält Besucher in respektvollem Abstand und ermöglicht trotzdem großartige Aussichten. Die Informationstafeln sind aufschlussreich über den gefährdeten Status der Art. Kann am Wochenende sehr überfüllt werden, daher sind Wochentage besser. Parken kann zu Spitzenzeiten schwierig sein.

Überraschend romantischer Ort für einen Paarausflug! Die Pinguine sind bezaubernd und es war so rührend, ihre Interaktionen zu beobachten. Die Kulisse mit den massiven Felsen und dem türkisfarbenen Wasser ist unglaublich malerisch. Wir haben viel über die Bedrohungen dieser Pinguine und die Naturschutzbemühungen gelernt. Perfekt für einen Valentinstag-Besuch - die Liebesgeschichte der Natur in Aktion! Die Sonnenuntergangssicht vom Strand ist atemberaubend.

Les manchots étaient là mais pas aussi actifs que j'espérais. Peut-être ai-je visité au mauvais moment de la journée. La plage est jolie cependant, et c'est clairement important pour les efforts de conservation. Il faut juste ajuster ses attentes temps versus coût.
